FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Today, Ticketek is delighted to announce a record-breaking day, driven by unprecedented demand for AC/DC’s 2025 Australian tour. Over 370,000 tickets were sold in a single day, setting a new all-time high for daily sales on the Ticketek platform and surpassing the previous record set during The Ashes on-sale earlier this month.
The standout driver of this historic day was the on-sale for legendary Australian rock band AC/DC, which saw over 320,000 tickets sold across multiple cities, making it the biggest concert on-sale day in Ticketek’s 40+ year history and eclipsing the band’s own 2009 record.
In addition to AC/DC, Ticketek sold close to 50,000 tickets across its broader event portfolio, including key performances from Lightscape, the NRL, AFL, and major theatre productions.
This day marks the achievement of several major milestones for Ticketek:
- Delivering the largest tour on-sale day the platform has ever seen
- Recording the highest single-day ticket volume in company history
