KCON unleashes Korean wave in Sydney

KCON, the world’s largest Korean culture convention and music festival, has unleashed a magical wave over two hugely successful days at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, last Friday and Saturday.

The sensational KCON 2017 AUSTRALIA was the first ever KCON in Australia and was a brilliant showcase of Korean lifestyle and high-energy sounds and sights of top K-pop artists.

Attendance figures for KCON 2017 AUSTRALIA show that 15,000 fans visited the convention and music festival, with a significant portion visiting Sydney from interstate and international cities.

The event was well supported by commercial partners. The Title Sponsor was HotelsCombined – previously the Title Sponsor for 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) -HotelsCombined has collaborated with CJ in promoting Korean culture events globally through close partnership, including 2015 MAMA, KCON 2015 JAPAN, and 2016 MAMA. This is their fourth consecutive sponsorship in worldwide promotion of Korean cultural events. SBS TV’s Pop Asia, Korean Cultural Centre and CJ Co. Holdings were also key partners.
