Real Madrid World of Football Experience makes its world premiere

Real Madrid World of Football Experience makes its world premiere in Melbourne this Saturday 9 June at the Melbourne Museum Plaza with a stunning state-of-the-art showcase of the world’s greatest football clubs.

The touring football experience opens amid football fever just ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and in the afterglow of Real Madrid C.F.’s victory in the UEFA Champions League Final in Kiev.

Real Madrid C.F.’s latest trophy has been flown to Melbourne to feature in Real Madrid World of Football Experience, following Real Madrid C.F.’s record 13th victory at the UEFA Champions League in May.

Real Madrid C.F., honoured by FIFA as the Best Club of the 20th Century, has won a record 13 European Club and 33 La Liga Championships.  Real Madrid World of Football Experience allows visitors to explore behind the scenes, feel the atmosphere and discover the culture of the world’s greatest football team as they go on a journey through more than 116 years of sporting history.

Real Madrid World of Football Experience is designed to engage football and sporting fans of all ages.  Housed under the roof of a massive 50m x 30m (1,600 sqm) touring pavilion, located on the Melbourne Museum Plaza, it features unique physical and digital interactive experiences, an immersive 360˚ cinematic match day experience, an EA Sports FIFA Arena and a stunning collection of Real Madrid’s most famous trophies and memorabilia.

The club’s remarkable 13 UEFA Champions trophies, the FIFA Club of the 20th Century trophy, and the most treasured Ballon d’Or and Golden Boot trophies are all on display together for the first time ever outside Madrid.

The Real Madrid World of Football Experience offers four unique visitor zones. The Real Madrid C.F. Exhibition Zone offers incredible audio-visual displays and interactive technology to discover the Clubs’ historical journey and its unrivalled victories. Original memorabilia and trophies populate this visually spectacular zone. In the 360° Cinematic Match Day Experience Zone, visitors feel the passion and adrenaline pumping energy of Match Day from across the ages at Real Madrid’s famous home – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Next, experience the Interactive ‘Come Play!’ Zone, loaded with physical, digital and playable technology, and test your power, speed and accuracy against the Real Madrid C.F. first team in the Skills Arena. Have fun in the EA Sports FIFA Arena and battle it out in the Fuzbol Battle Zone, a gigantic 16-person Fuzbol table.

Finally, view and purchase the latest Real Madrid C.F. 18/19 range and have your photo taken with Real Madrid C.F. players through green screen technology in the Real Madrid C.F. Merchandise Zone.

Following its debut in Melbourne, Real Madrid World of Football Experience will tour the world for five years, visiting a further 14 cities in a partnership between Real Madrid C.F. and two leading Australian entertainment companies, iEC Exhibitions! and TEG.

Real Madrid World of Football Experience captures more than a century of sporting history. It includes original memorabilia such as original football boots worn by Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Raúl; Federative cards of players such as Roberto Carlos and Raúl González Blanco and the original documentation by the president, Mr. Santiago Bernabéu, to the Organising Committee of the European Cup officially confirming the participation of Real Madrid C.F. in the competition on April 12, 1955.
