TEG in conjunction with iEC has announced that the Real Madrid World of Football Experience will make its world premiere in Melbourne this June.
The interactive football experience will open on 9 June, just a few days before the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Melbourne will be the first city to host the new, state-of-the-art touring football exhibition that showcases Real Madrid, acclaimed by FIFA as the Best Club of the 20th Century.
Real Madrid C.F. has won a record 12 European Club Championships and 33 Spanish Club Championships. The Real Madrid World of Football Experience allows visitors to explore behind the scenes, feel the atmosphere and discover the culture of the world’s greatest football team as they go on a journey into over 116 years of sporting history.
TEG CEO Geoff Jones said: “The visitor experience will be a truly innovative way for Real Madrid C.F. to connect with its huge global fan base across Australia, Asia, and the Americas. Before this touring experience was devised, the only way to see first-hand the remarkable history of Real Madrid C.F. and its players was to visit the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
“Now we are bringing that experience directly to fans, starting in Melbourne. I commend the Victorian Tourism and Major Events Minister John Eren and Visit Victoria for the vision and commitment to bring the world premiere to Australia’s sporting capital.”

The Real Madrid World of Football Experience offers four unique visitor zones. The Real Madrid C.F. Exhibition Zone offers incredible audio-visual displays and interactive technology to discover the Clubs’ historical journey and its unrivalled victories. Original memorabilia and trophies populate this visually spectacular zone. In the 360° Cinematic Match Day Experience Zone, visitors feel the passion and adrenaline pumping energy of Match Day from across the ages at Real Madrid’s famous home – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Next, experience the Come Play! Interactive Zone, loaded with physical, digital and playable technology, and test your power, speed and accuracy against the Real Madrid C.F. first team in the Skills Arena. Have fun in the EA Sports FIFA Arena and battle it out in the Fuzbol Battle Zone, a gigantic 16-person Fuzbol table. Finally, view the latest Real Madrid C.F. range and have your photo taken with Real Madrid C.F. players through green screen technology in the Real Madrid C.F. Merchandise Zone.
Following its debut in Melbourne, the experience will tour the world for five years, visiting a further 14 cities.
The Real Madrid World of Football Experience will be open in Melbourne for a limited season commencing Saturday 9 June in the World of Football Touring Pavilion, located at Melbourne Museum Plaza, 9 Nicholson Street, Carlton.
