Thank you for your interest in joining Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG)! At TEG, we make life better live and that includes respecting your privacy.

  • When we refer to “Talent Data” we mean any information about you or that could identify you, that we collect throughout our recruitment process.
  • When we talk about how we “handle” your Talent Data, we mean activities like collecting, using, storing, sharing or updating it, whether online, on paper or in conversation

1.  When does this Privacy Policy apply?

This Policy applies to all individuals applying to work with TEG, including its wholly owned or controlled entities. This includes all prospective workers regardless of the nature of the role, including applicants for full-time, part-time, fixed term, and casual positions. For the purposes of this Policy, all such individuals are collectively referred to as Talent.

This Policy outlines:

  • What Talent Data we handle.
  • the steps we take to help keep your Talent Data secure.
  • how you can request access to or correction of your Talent Data or make a privacy complaint.

 

2. What Talent Data does TEG handle about me?

TEG aims to collect only the minimum amount of Talent Data necessary to assess your application and manage the recruitment process.

  • Identity and contact information, such as your name, home and mailing address, phone number and email address.
  • Recruitment, qualifications and background information, such as your application for employment, CV, work history, education, qualifications, certifications, licences, right to work, referee reports, interview responses (including by video and chat), interview notes, background checks information, results of screening, aptitude or psychometric tests, information about you on LinkedIn or other public sites, information from recruitment partners or agencies.
  • Health and safety related information, such as fitness for work and workplace adjustments requirements.
  • Diversity information you choose to share with us, such as your gender identity and pronouns.

Before providing the personal information of another individual to TEG (such as referee), you must first obtain their permission.

 

3.  How does TEG collect my Talent Data?

We collect your Talent Data directly from you wherever possible, but we will also collect information from other people or sources where necessary or relevant. This includes:

  • Government or enforcement bodies – where necessary, such as the Department of Home Affairs.
  • Third party sources – such as your referees, service providers who conduct screening services, right to work or background checks, public websites (such as LinkedIn or social media sites), or your employing entity where you are seconded or contracted to work with us. These other entities may have their own Privacy Policies, and you should review these to understand how they handle your Talent Data.

 

4. For what purposes does TEG handle my Talent Data?

TEG is committed to handling your Talent Data with respect and care. We use your information to support your recruitment or engagement with us. This includes providing you with a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.

We may handle your Talent Data, as reasonably necessary, for the following purposes:

  • For recruitment purposes, such as assessing your suitability for employment, verifying your right to work, confirming your qualifications or eligibility for specific roles, evaluating your fitness for work and otherwise processing your employment application.
  • To stay in touch with you, for example, to inform you of job or career development opportunities that may be of interest.
  • As otherwise required or permitted by law.

 

5. Does TEG use Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

TEG may use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to support decision-making and improve the efficiency and fairness of our hiring practices.

These technologies may be used to assist with tasks such as screening applications, assessing qualifications against key selection criteria, identifying potential matches for available roles, and detecting duplicate submissions. While AI tools may help streamline these processes, all final hiring decisions are made by our recruitment team or hiring managers.

6. How long does TEG keep my Talent Data?

We retain your Talent Data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, and as required or permitted by applicable law.

  • If you are offered and accept a role with TEG: We will retain your information for the duration of your employment or engagement with us, to manage your employment or assignment. After your employment or engagement ends, we will continue to retain your information for as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve any potential disputes, and maintain accurate records of your work history.
  • If your application is unsuccessful, or you withdraw or decline an offer: We will retain your information for purposes outlined in this Policy — including considering you for future opportunities (if you’ve asked us to keep your details on file), improving our recruitment processes, and for record-keeping.
    If you would prefer that we do not retain your information, please contact us using the details provided in the Contact Us section of this policy.

 

7. Who might TEG disclose my Talent Data with?

We may share your Talent Data between TEG companies, as well as with external parties, where reasonably necessary, to manage your recruitment or engagement with us, or to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations. This may include sharing information with:

  • Third parties providing services to us, such as recruitment agencies, data analytics and insights providers.
  • External professional advisors, such as lawyers and auditors.
  • Your referee and other parties you authorise us to share information with.
  • Government or enforcement bodies—such as the Department of Home Affairs or the Police or other entities, where required or authorised by law.

 

8. Does TEG Share my Talent Data overseas?

We may transfer your Talent Data overseas in the following circumstances:

  • When we engage service providers that process or store data overseas. For example, data storage services often involve multiple geographic locations that may change from time to time.

 

9. How does TEG store my Talent Data and keep it secure?

We store Talent Data in both digital and physical formats. This may include computer or online systems, as well as hard copy records in certain circumstances—such as printed application materials or interview notes. These systems and storage solutions may be operated either by TEG or by our trusted service providers.

We implement a range of technical and organisational measures to protect your Talent Data from unauthorised access, loss, modification or misuse. These measures include limiting the Talent Data we collect and use, conducting security and privacy risk assessments, restricting access to Talent Data within our systems and premises and providing privacy training for workers who handle Talent Data.

When we disclose Talent Data to third parties, we take steps to ensure that they protect the information in accordance with Australian privacy laws and use it only for the purpose for which it was disclosed.

 

10. How can I access or correct my Talent Data?

You can request access to, or correction of, the Talent Data TEG holds about you at any time by contacting our People Team using one of the methods outlined in the Contact Us section below.

In some situations, we may be unable to grant access to, or correction of, your Talent Data. If this occurs, we will explain the reason for our decision.

If you are located outside of Australia, there may be country-specific laws that apply to how your Talent Data is processed and to your privacy rights. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact our Privacy Officer using one of the channels below.

Making a complaint

We take privacy seriously and will investigate your complaint or concern carefully. Our aim is to respond as promptly as possible, generally within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) for further guidance.
