TEG named Ticketing Business of the Year

TEG, Asia Pacific’s leading ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics business, has been named as the Ticketing Business of the Year at the prestigious Ticketing Business Forum international awards in Manchester, Great Britain.

TEG was voted the top global ticketing company in a field open to ticketing platforms, venues, sporting teams, promoters, visitor destination managers, service suppliers, box office operators, festivals and rights holders. The finalists included US, UK and Asian businesses.

TEG includes Ticketek Australia, Ticketek New Zealand, Eventopia, international ticketing platform Softix, which provides licensed services in Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East, and TEG-owned ticketing businesses TicketCharge in Malaysia, Ticketek Singapore and Ticketworld in the Philippines.

Cameron Hoy, TEG Chief Operating Officer and Head of Ticketing, was at the Ticketing Business Forum to accept the award.

“This is a hugely prestigious award and worthy acknowledgement of TEG and our passionate and dedicated team members in our business,” said Hoy.

The Ticketing Business Forum was attended by senior executives of more than 500 ticketing and technology companies from around the world.

TEG CEO Geoff Jones congratulated TEG’s ticketing team and highlighted the role played by Ticketek Australia and Ticketek New Zealand in driving live entertainment ticketing innovation.

“This award is worthy recognition of TEG’s status and performance in the ticketing industry over the past year,” said Jones. “Our ticketing business spans the past 40 years from the birth of Ticketek in Australia.

“I am proud that an Australian company that is committed to home-grown ticketing technology development and innovation has won this global award.”
